After leaving Tony's Villa we decided to set sail. The first real distance for Alison.

Whilst winds were light 8 to 14 knots we sailed at least half of the 20 miles and motor sailed the rest from Portimoa to Vilamoura.

Vilamoura is probably the most established Marina in the Algarve and is surrounded by shops and restaurants which seem not bad.

Today we are going to catch up with some washing and cleaning before moving on to Faro and back to Spain were the marinas start  getting more basic until Gibraltar.

Faro has no marina but anchorage in the lagoon which is said to be wonderful.

More news later.
