PISA - 11th June

Well we took the train to Pisa today. The river has long since silted up so we could never get our boat up the river as they would have done 400 years ago.

 

Lots of wonderful old houses/architecture. The Cathedral next to the leaning tower is one of the most colourful and ornate we have seen on our travels.

 

The wind and sea is still fairly boisterous so after yesterday’s experience we may stay another day wait for the sea to calm down and maybe take a train to Florence – public transport is great here and incredibly cheap compared to the UK.
