Sorry folks - have not done any updates recently.

We arrived in Torrevieja on Friday and are still here. We soon realized that with a new marina here,  that is half empty, that it may be cheap. After lots of investigation it appears this town has good yacht repair services with English engineers etc. It is very close to the Balearic Islands, the weather is still warm throughout the winter, unlike ports further North. There are good flights from nearby Alicante to Southhampton/Bournmouth.

So in conclusion we have done a deal for a cheap mooring from September for 6 months.- So the plan is now to cruise around the area and maybe Ibiza etc. and return here early September.

We intended moving on today but could not get the mainsail out, so decided to return to effect repairs - this we did with the help of some of the local Bits - Actually a guy who worked for Berthons in Lymington 10 yrs ago - but am still not sure we understand the underlying problem. Any way we will see tomorrow.

Whilst here I have also added a nice rope rail to our passerole (gang plank)  - see attached picture. (All we now need is a red carpet) - We are slowly adapting the boat for the Med.
