Yes we are still here. Having planned to leave on Friday or this morning, we are still here. The wind has been blowing hard with big seas for two days and may well continue into tomorrow (Sunday).

Luckily it is a friendly and relatively cheap marina in the centre of town, with all we need. The town is great with an enormous amount of history and lovely old buildings. It seemed a bit odd that the George cross is flown on many buildings/boats etc. It appears however that King John set off from Genoa only to get caught in a big storm. He apparently swore that should he delivered alive from the storm that he would make Saint George (who is the patron saint of Genoa) the patron saint of the UK – he duly landed in a cove nearby and hence the UK adopted St George and the same flag for England.

Having done the tourist bit we have now spent a day and a half doing domestic thinks – washing, shopping, cleaning the boat/teak etc. So it would be now nice to start heading back to France.
