This morning we sailed out of the Cala di Volpe with the view to visiting Porto Cervo another 10 miles or so further north. Porto Cervo was set up by the Aga Khan as a resort for the well to do. There is a magnificent yacht club here (0177) which clearly hosts numerous prestige’s yacht events. I presented my Royal Lymington Yacht club card and have been invited to use the bar and restaurant – but we have to comply with the dress code of long trousers and a polo shirt (have I got one in the boat?). I am not sure the bank manager will approve, but perhaps a drink might be nice.

There aren’t that many boats in the harbour yet but Alison and I were rather taken by the one in the attached photo (0173) – off we go to see if it is in our price range.

There are again some magnificent houses around the outer bay of Porto Cervo per attached picy.
