Having arrived on the boat last Tuesday we have been working non stop to put it back together for the summer and get the French to finish the jobs they were supposed to have done months ago.
We still have lots to do before we head home next Thursday, in preparation for my return to the boat with the boys on the 19th and off to Sicily.
We decided to have a bit of a break from the work over the weekend and give the boat a bit of a test run. So in gentle winds we sailed over to one of the Islands just off the coast here and spent a lovely peaceful night at anchor in Port Man.
Having had a few good sunny days here I noticed the water had got up to 17.9 degrees - as this is UK August water temperatures I thought it must be good enough for a swim - let me tell you it wasn't warm, but did get better as I acclimatised.
Now back at base to finish getting things ship shape.
