After a rest from travelling in 2012, Sealion is planning to head off again.

 

Some changes have been made to the rig this winter. A staysail has been installed. It is hope this will provide some more flexibility to cope with stronger winds for a short handed crew.

 

On the 1st of May we will hopefully arrive at the boat and begin setting her up for the season and undertaking some sea trials with the new rig. On the 9th May we will return home, via some friends in Northern France,  for a week.

 

On the 19th of May a boys crew will fly down to the boat and set of for Palermo in Sicily. Rick, Trevor & Phil.

 

Once safely in Palermo the delivery crew will go home and Alison will join the boat. From there we will cruise the North Coast of Sicily and on to Messina. After this we will turn North up the beautiful west coast of Italy, hopefully getting back to Port to Bormes by the end of July. We are in no hurray though so if it takes longer so be it.

 

As in previous years I will try and post our position, some pictures and comments as often as I can.
