We left Bandol on
Wednesday passing around Cap Sicie and into the enormous natural harbour of
Toulon. Unfortunately there was no wind so we had to motor all the way.
Our plan was to
spend two days here in Toulon catching up with laundry, shopping and seeing the
town and then moving on to the Island of Porquerolle. Unfortunately it looks
like we will be stuck here another few days as we are now expecting a mistral to
start tonight with force 9 winds and not really dying until next Tuesday - We
will see.
The weather has been
quite sunny though and yesterday I actually had shorts on all day, albeit today
the air turned cold again. The French news has been full of the record low
temperatures throughout the country - What luck.
