We stopped at the commercial, fishing port at Sete
- Whilst the marina was not the smartest, we are really please we stopped
here. As a major historic port it has a well established town and interesting
canal net work linked to the Etangs (inland seas) at the back and the canal
de midi etc.
The restaurants were also great with numerous cheap
menus of 10-13 Euros full of shellfish, fish etc. as you would expect. A
pleasant change from the purpose built holiday marinas with expensive pizza
parlours etc.
Plus again another cheap marina at 35 Euros - The
French boats in Spain did say that France was cheaper and they have been right
now in the four marinas we have stopped in.
