We had an easy and uneventful overnight sail from Grenada to Trinidad, no pirates at all and managed to miss the oil rigs half way. We even had wind most of the way. Just before we got to Chagaramas a nice little squall came through and gave the sails a good fresh water rinse, I even slowed down did a 360 to wash both sides. This is one of the squalls just after dawn.

Below is Salila being hauled out in Trinidad. It's the first time I've been on her crossing a car park. The haul out was interesting. The boatyard, misleadingly called PowerBoats, is run by Don Stollmeir who builds his own catamarans and constructed his own trailer for lifting cats. Normally yachts come out on a travel lift, but Salila is too wide for the one at PowerBoats. It took two tractors to pull her up the slippery ramp, but she is now safely ashore along with about 200 other boats for the hurricane season.

It was a bit of a tight fit, but Salila is safely ashore. Now begins the hard work of getting her ready to be left in the searing heat and humidity of Trinidad for 6 or 7 months.
