We decided not to anchor in Coral Bay. The pilot book describes it as the place to be for cruisers, away from the tourist spots. It’s a carefully worded tome, and not up to the standards of  accuracy and honesty that we have come to know with Doyles Guides. It’s a dump. Full of rotting hulks, some of which seem to be lived on.

Luckily the Rocna made the decision for us, it decided not to hold even for a lunchtime stop.

So we went around the corner to Lameshure Bay, and what a difference. A beautiful cove, with only four mooring balls. There was only one other boat there, with crystal clear water and a marvellous view.
