5/3/2012 in Leverick Bay, Virgin Gorda

Here's a quick catch up because I haven't been able to update the blog for quite a while. I will post some more updates soon, and correct the dates, so check down the list for some you might not have seen.

Leslie and Lorrie from Canadia are terrific. They are both wonderful cooks, and we are now enjoying Salilas Gastronomic Tour of the Caribbean. Every meal is fantastic, and this morning Leslie made bread - not one loaf but three! Yum yum. Hot fresh bread with butter and honey. Wow.

Since they joined in Puerto RICO (known as "PR" to us global travellers), we have been to Culebrita, the US Virgin islands, and are now in the BVI's. Leverick Bay on Virgin Gorda is lovely, and they have a pool we can use (actually we mainly came for the laundrette, such is the reality of long term cruising).

And you'll doubtless be surprised to learn that they have a bar too. Right by the beach. And on some nights, well most actually, the gent below comes along at Happy Hour and sings some songs, and conducts a conch shell blowing contest. It's all good family fun.

Today we are hiding from strong winds, well that's the excuse anyway, but tomorrow we are heading for the Full Moon party at Trellis Bay. Apparently it's great fun, but not as much fun I'm told as the full moon party at Bombas Shack, where all sorts of shenanigans go on.
