We have had a fantastic time in Antigua. It’s certainly one of my favourite islands so far, and Xmas and New Year in Nelsons Dockyard with Liz and Will was quite a special experience.

After New Year Larry and Fi kindly went off to a hotel for a few days so I could have some family time, and we had a quiet few days anchored out. We went to Mamora Bay, then Falmouth Harbour opposite Pigeon Beach, then round the island to Deep Bay just north of Jolly Harbour. Each was great fun, just swimming off the back of the boat and relaxing.

Liz and Will flew home to a chilly UK on the 10th, and yesterday we were joined by a new crew member, Midge, a nice American lady.

Tomorrow the plan is to head off to Monserrat (is sailing towards an active volcano on Friday the 13th a good idea?), probably spend 2 nights there and try and see round the island. Then work our way up the island chain via Nevis and St Kitts towards the BVI’s. We may not have internet access for a while.
