Grand Anse D'Arlets, Martinique.

An interesting sail here this morning, another epic voyage of about 12 nm. At anchor in St Pierre we had no wind at all, and in 8 m of crystal clear still water I could see the anchor break out as we left. So of course the full main and jib went up as I expected to motor sail the whole way. Ten minutes later I'm doing the blue fly impression as we had 25 knots of wind and some rapid reefing was needed.

Then there was the cry of "what's that splashing in the water over there?". Whales can make quite a big slash when they want to. I'm not sure what sort they were, but they had big arms!

But the only wifi is at the P'Ti Bateau bar, which has tables on the beach. Some locals came over in their Jetskis, one of which made an escape for freedom from the beach.
