During our stay on Puerto Rico we went to the Torro Verde zip line park. It's a long drive up into some interesting mountains, almost rain forest. The park is spread over many acres, and includes a huge valley, across which the zip lines traverse. They were all great fun, and we felt pretty confident in the safety of the equipment and the wires that support you. In face the scaries thing was the 4WD truck on the way back.
The biggest zip line is called The Beast. It's the highest in the world at 852 ft, and second longest in the world at 4,745 ft long. They strap you into a harness and you lay on your stomach for the ride. It's fun, no really. In the photo you can just see a hill in the distance where it ends.
The worst bit is when you stop short of the landing stage and you sit there suspended until someone comes down the wire to pull you back. Still fun.
