To Say this trip was eventful would be an understatement, but the final paragraph of the trip was possible the cruellest twist of fate!
After steering with a emergency tiller from inside the aft cabin for 280 nms out with only 32 nms to go, the bracket that the tiller located into broke! the welds let go and we had to use racket straps and rope to re secure the tiller to the quadrant and then gently ease our way into Port
Vila, Vanuatu, we got in at 0430 and all just hit our beds and slept. They say that what doesn’t kill you will make you stronger! but what they don’t mention is the mental damage the stress courses.....TIS    (this is sailing’)
