Ok here’s the boring stuff the 24-hour run 126.71 nms that's from 1300 to 1200 today

We left Napier around 1300 yesterday, looking at the weather report we thought if we made good time to Cape Palliser we might be able to make it to Wellington before the big winds come in, then we could wait a while in a safe marina before the more favourable winds on the following day.

I'm sure we all had an interesting night, last night, the wind direction and speed varied as did the sea way, but apart from that it must be said it was a refreshing.

We had an interesting encounter we a confused Sea Seal about 1000, who from the way he was jumping out of the water he thought that he was a Dolphin!!

At the moment we are making our way to Cape Palliser,
Conditions aren’t to bad in the entry into Cook strait, it might be a little windy but the forecast is indicating that the wind will drop and come in from a more favourable direction.

Well my thoughts are that the forecast have been a little repetitive than informative, so we’ll wait to see what happens when we turn the corner.

Kind Regards from the crew of ‘Duende’
