We are well SW of Cape Reinga now, (136nms to be precise) and we are
fighting our way through a
collision of two systems, which is giving us periods of little wind up to
13knts in the wrong direction, which as you can imagine is very frustrating.
The motor is on then off sail changes are reasonable frequent, all for
quite slow progress.

The main problem is we could use the motor to punch our way through to the
stronger winds to the south, but that would mean that we would not have any
diesel to spare if the predicted winds do not appear. It's abet like playing
Russian Roulette on your own there is no way to win!

Any how I'll update you all tomorrow and hope you are all as much fun.

Cheers

Mark
