Today we only have 505.5nms to go before we reach Auckland and if we continue our current rate we should be there in approximately 5 days arriving on the 17/18th March. Our last 24hrs saw us cover 134nms mainly because there was a ocean current pushing against us and we had a little down time topping up the fuel tank.

We are now only 205nms till we hit the International date line at which point we will loose a day, but at the same time join the same day as the majority of the World.

from early evening Yesterday we stated getting the product of the low pressure system that we have to travel through to get safely into Auckland, we have about 20% main and possibly only 25% genoa out and are still managing to average 6.3 knots in 3.5 meter beam on seas . The wind speed is getting up to 30+ knots and is supposed to drop off to 15 to 25 knots later on this evening at which point if you believe the forecast it should ease tomorrow afternoon to perhaps 15 knots.

Although its not very comfortable sailing we are moving along nicely and only on the odd occasion do we catch a rouge wave that crashes over the top.

At this point in the delivery we are not too far from the east coast of the north island and I guess we are all looking forward to that.,

 Cheers
Mark
