There were a couple of casulties of the war, 3 of the Jerry cans tried to escape (the full ones!) wouldn't you know it, these were subsequently re tied to the yacht and as we speak they are still with the boat.
Everything inside the boat looked as though the boat had rolled over, these are now tied up. One of the starboard stauntions, was hit by a big wave while we were reefing and pulled out of the deck mount where the securing screw goes through, that is now lashed and padded to prevent any further damage to itself or the deck of the boat.
After all of this we are still under jib only in similiar winds and ding between 8 & 10 knts SOG.
Over the last 12 hours we covered 92.5nms and the coresponding 24hrs we clocked up 175nms,
The Guy's James and Joseph both played sterling roles last night and deserve a day off, unfortunately that will have to wait for Melbourne.
We are all hoping the wind dies a little later in the afternoon so that we can get a little more sleep!!
In saying that after I've sent this thats where I'm going.
Have fun yachting and see the world!!! but try hard not to get too wet on the way.
