Nearly there again ‘ The Sequel
!!
We are looking at Port Phillip heads this evening around  1800 EST, hey hang on a minute does that sounds familiar?...or maybe it’s just Groundhog day! well it feels like that for James and I. However to put a more positive note to proceedings, we are as I type(at an angle I must point out) running along side the peninsula that forms the outer barrier that protects Port Phillip bay from the Bass strait. so with this report I can assure you that we will be on dry land tonight and I will be flying back to Auckland tomorrow morning. If anyone would like to pick me up from the airport please text me. Come on guys you know who you are..lol

I am happy to report that there were no more drama’s today apart from the fact that we had to tack all the way Wilson’s Prom, to Port Phillip Heads, but as the heads get closer as of this minute we are only 14.6 nms to go, we went into the heads at 1630 EST, against to the current due to the south west winds that were approaching we got through and were towed into Queenscliff by the Coastguard because the engine had air in the fuel line. It seemed total appropriate given the other drama’s that a occurred.

I wish James and George all the best with there new Yacht ‘Johnny be Goode”, I'm sure after a little reflection, the pain and frustration that James and George have felt during the whole process of purchasing JBG in Auckland and having it delivered to Melbourne, will easily be surpassed by the joy and fun they both get from sailing her.

Cheers

Oh Crickey!!!

After writing this blog we got hit by a 40 knot+ squall and spent the whole of the afternoon trying with a very furled genoa to stay off a lee shore, which we were not doing too well on port and but managed to escape on a Starboard tack. we arrived in Queenscliff at 1830 EST. All in all a interesting couple of weeks work.

I’ll be writing other blogs on my deliveries in the New Year but for now I wish everyone a Merry Xmas and Happy New Year.
