Well we are approximately 11 nms SE of North Cape the top righthand corner
of the north island of New Zealand for all you none sailors!!, we had to
motor for 25hours, the boat speed was exceding the wind speed, since we
started the engine. With all the weight on board, we have used quite alot of
fuel and are praying for the forecast winds around North Cape and Cape
Reinga. We will then head SW to get between two pressure systems and to more
favourable winds and hoprfully faster boat speeds. At the moment the
forecast through the grib files I download and the prediction I got from Bob
Mcdavit in Auckland, seem to agree so all should be well to save some
diesel.

Eoin & Ian will be pleased to know that all the systems are working fine the
fridge is keeping everything cold and the wind is the only problem we have
at the moment.

My 1st Mate James who is susposed to be the ace Kiwi fisherman isnt! and
hasn't caught a dam thing in a day, he sucks at it!!..lol Joseph who joined
us for the trip is settling in well on board and everything is very relaxed
as we approach the northern coast of New Zealand.

The weather is awesum, too hot infact, not a cloud in sight and in the high
20's which is why I am writing this before I get fried out there. Any how
I'll update you all tomorrow and hope you are all as much fun.

Cheers

Mark

PS I typed this before the 25hrs was up and James landed a Albacore 10 mins
after we finished filling the diesel tank....dam! all good Sushi for lunch.
