Well all the best laid plans get changed at short notice which is what is
occurring here.

There is a gale warning being forecast in the Bass straight, right about the
time that we are about to be entering it, at the best of times it is not nice transistion to make, especially when you understand that when approached from the east the
sea bed shelfs up from 2000 + meters to 20 meters in a very short distance
giving big seas with no back to the waves!!

So we are diverting to a little port called Eden, which is a favorite bolt
hole for the Sydney Hobart race crews, there we will wait for the storm to
pass through and head off the next day to Geelong in Port Phillip Bay.

This should only set us back a couple of days on the delivery.

Anyway at the moment spirits are high we are motor sailing to Eden with a
lot of enthusiasm, and hope to be there Pm on Thursday 15th NZ Time.

For those of you interested in the daily runs here they are, 12 hrs - 75nms & 24hrs - 149nms

If we have any other breaking news I'll let you know.

Mark
