Well we are past the worst of Johnny Depp and friends country and are
heading south towards the Maldives, from about 1500hrs yesterday the wind
began to increase and swing towards the north. this allowed us to ease
sheets and increase speed significantly and also shut the motor down, we
managed to cover 99nms in the the 12 hours from midday to midnight and the
figure below represents a 24 hour run from midday to midday.

we have had a problem with the electronics since about 0430 this morning
which is slowly working it's way out, I think somehow that some water has
gotten into one of the communications cables from the
GPS to the Autopilot controls. But at present it is more on than off which
is a vast improvement on earlier on this morning, when coms were completely
down. Well the sun is up now drying things off and the wind is blowing well,
so it doesn't get much better.
