Well the batteries have finally given up the ghost and we have turned them off, I spent a couple of hours this morning drury rigging a power supply to the navigation equipment which is working well at the moment, last night we had a nice breeze for a change and covered some good ground unfortunately the weather did what it was predicted it to (the first time Iâve know it to do that in the Tasman!) Oh well we are only about 170 nms from North Cape now and would hope to be a lot closer tomorrow and definitely in double figures. We did quite of on water maintenance yesterday and this morning so far, we checked the fluids on engine and Genset, topped up A/R. Sheet for locking pin on Yankee furler repaired after chafing wore though the outer sheave so I whipping twined both parts of that so that it doesnât create a problem in the future. It shouldnât do as it is in a none critical area and the rope only needs to be connected to work. One of the lines for the lazy jacks pulled through the pulley on the mast so I went up the mast to re run that, all sorted now.

Raj went around the yacht today and tightened all the shackles and put a cable tie on each one to prevent them from coming undone. Apart from that there not a lot going on.

On a domestic note itâs nice to have electric toilets when there is power but not so good when there isnât!!!!, also I have had to re route the gas as we wonât be able to cook as the gas sensor has no power to allow to gas flow Chris did a great job of finishing that off, itâs kind of being in the stone age without Barney Rubble and the Dinosaurs!!

It âs just an opportunity really another normal day at the office.  Looking on the bright side the toilets will be clean when we get in...lol

Iâll stay in touch and let you guyâs know if there are anymore humorous things going on.

Regards from

Mark, Raj and Chris
