October sailing in Croatia – 2 weeks we will be exploring our new home waters !

The weather forecast is not the best – rain , light winds, temperature in low 20s Celsius – over the weekend Bora with  winds up to 30 kts and a lot of rain.

We still decided to leave our beloved Marina to swing around in an anchorage. We need the downtime and enjoy KoB.

So our choice is Brbinj on Dugi Otok 11 nm from the Marina NW – good shelter with mooring buoys. I have seen the the place in the summertime, looking like a parking lot of a supermarket  on a Saturday.

After motoring to Brbinj  we found the bay empty and peaceful !

We took a nice swim, the water still pretty warm the sun shining into cockpit – yes we are enjoying Croatia. Only one other boat came, a young couple flying the Belgium flag, but speaking English. The took a buoy far away from us, so everybody has their privacy.

Tonight will be movie night –“ Everest “ – Dinner will be Porcini Pasta .
