We sailed over to Petit St Vincent from Union which was a tough beat against wind and current, but well worth it.  This is a private island with a small resort on it, inconspicuous cottages dotted around which blend in with their surroundings.  The island is surrounded by reef except for a sandy beach on the south side where you can anchor.  They have a bar close to the small dock which welcomes yachties, so we went ashore for a cocktail at sundown.  We were hoping for a stroll along the beach but were disappointed to find this empty stretch of gorgeous beach was out of bounds to non residents.
