back on the road after a week away from the boat at home in Cheshire.

On Tuesday I had a most enjoyable evening at the Chequers with the Grumpy's and on Wednesday returned the rental car, paid the marina bill and Ocean rigging's bill and set sail for Brighton.

It was Cowes week and we mowed our way through 800 race boats competing in the Solent. All shapes and sizes It was quite stressful!!

We arrived in Brighton Marina not somewhere I have been to before or for that matter  would want to go to again. A huge Marina with quite the worst entrance ever. We had to wait for half tide to enter the fairway and even then the depth went down to 2 meters ! We spent a day there with the mother and father of storms with thunder and lightning and 30 knot winds (in the wrong direction) Tomorrow is more favourable and we plan to leave for Ijmuiden around ten in the am when we can leave without going aground.
