position 39:52N 25:04E in Limnos We left Athens on
Wednesday with a short trip to Kithnos a hot and humid windless day showing the
new crew the ropes.
Thursday was a good sail to Skyros Friday a hairy
sail to Lesvos and then the Meltemi arrived! Saturday we sailed to Limnos 57 n
miles in 40 knots of wind and rough seas. We needed to get somewhere to hole up
as the meltemi was set to get worse on Sunday and Monday and Roger had to
get to Istanbul for his return flight home.He leaves by ferry,train and
bus.
Limnos is where we check out of Greece and our next
port of call will be in Turkey. Not sure where and when but in the meantime we
will enjoy this beautiful island and wait for better
weather.
