Istanbul.
We all enjoyed Bulgaria.We actually felt we were
back in Europe. The people were friendly, the food was good and the towns we
visited were clean, and well kept.
Balchik,Nesebar,Sozopol and Tsarevo where we
checked out of Bulgaria were places we would definitely come again. Nesebar on a
rocky peninsular was a thriving port in Greek and Roman times and is now a
lively holiday resort.
It is a UNESCO Architectural and Archaeological
reserve.
There are many churches built between the 6th and
17th century built in multi coloure bricks interspersed with stone.
From Tzarevo we did an overnighter entering the
Bosphorus at first light and were back in the sea of Marmara by 8 am. We went
directly to Yalova where the Agent met us and cleared us back into
Turkey.
Monday we packed the boat away and booked flights
home leaving Istanbul on Tuesday.
We will be back on Festina on the 6th
August.
