Novenber 23rd: Arrival in Estero de Jaltepeque - Bahia del Sol. On the 25th we left for a 3 day tour on a minibus with Jorge, a very knowledgable Salvadorenho. Our first stop was at a very original PUPUSERIA in San Salvador where we enjoyed the speciality, tipical rice pancakes filled with chicken - very tasy! Next stop was Joya de Ceren, the only place in the world that shows how the ordinary Mayans lived.  A Volcano outbreak had buried this village. Then we visited Santa Ana, the second most important town in El Salvador and were impressed by the Cathedral and Theater built by an Italian. Then we crossed into Guatemala driving through beautiful scenery arriving in Copan Honduras in the evening. ~We soaked up history at one of the most magnificent Mayan sites, famed for its beautiful carvings. Finally we drove through the modern world traffic jam in Guatemala City,Arriving in Antigua we heard that we had passed through an earthquake of 5.5 on the Richter scale without even noticing it.
Antigua is an old Spanish colonial town surrounded by volcanoes. They produce nice jewellery with Jade and the locals still make  and wear beautiful handwoven textile costumes.
November 28th: we just left Bahia del Sol on a sunny day going through some nice breakers heading for Costa Rica. Abracos para todos e beijinhos para as meninas de Y & H!!
