position 38:40N 20:47E Vathi on the island of
Meganesi
On Tuesday we sailed to Levkas passing through the
swing bridge on the 1800 hrs opening. Found a berth in the Marina and spent a
peaceful night.In the morning we motored down the canal and to Nidri meeting sy
Sara on the way .She belongs to Jims brother in law and Jim was on board.We
anchored in Tranquil bay and had a beer or two with Jim (Jin crewed on Jennard
of Mersey on the blue water rally) Found Baily of Hoath on the hard and learnt
that Mervyn was in the UK with bad legs!
Motored to Vathi on Meganese passing Scorpios the
private island belonging to Onnasis family.
Tied up on the town quay in 3 metres of water and
dined ashore .The weather this morning has taken a turn for the worse it is
raining and the wind forcast is for force 7 albeit in the right direction! Maybe
we go later to Ithaca or Cephalonia.Or maybe we
don't!
