left Guernsey at 7am hoping to get the best of the currents across to Lymington. We went so fast past Alderney that we arrived too early at the Needles. Well you can't have it all ways! We were tied up in the Yacht Haven by 6pm. We had a lot of traffic entering and leaving the traffic separation zone and had to dodge a few big cargo ships.

Dinner in the Bistro where Hutch met us for a drink and we were introduced to Sir Ben Ainsly!

Monday we had to change berths from C14 to C1 and on the way called in on the fuel quay. We took the Genoa down and sent it to Saunders sails for re stitching. Can't complain as this sail is the original and has done 94000 n miles! Sent the spare E Series plotter off to Raymarine for repair. Rented a car from Enterprise in Christchurch and drove to Cheshire. Alex and I are spending a week there and Judith is boat sitting and exploring the area. We hope to reassemble next Monday and head off for the Baltic
