We finally got away from Limnos on Friday and sailed 60 n miles to Bozcaada a lovely Island close to the entrance of the Dardanelles. We are now in Turkey although not checked in yet! There was a wine festival with live music all free! Not the greatest wine or music but who cares when you are being given it.
We had an early start today a day of motoring with 20 knots of wind on the nose and 3-4 knots of current against. The Dardanelles is about twenty n miles long narrow in places and a never ending stream of traffic in both directions. There are also several places where ferries are crossing so never a dull moment!
Anyway we anchored in a bay close to the town of Gelibolu and close to the sea of Marmara.Too tired to go ashore so ate on board and had an early night.
