We had a cracking sail from Bahia Del Sol  to Punta Arenas in Costa Rica 25 knots hard on the wind. This was a typical Papagayo with the wind blowing straight across Nicaragua from the Bay of Mexico.Hans and Yvonne were not comfortable and were happy to jump ship on arrival in Punta Arenas. We checked into Costa Rica and then checked out the next day. We had a sail boat that lost control in the middle of the night and crashed into the floating pontoon we and another boat were moored to. Some repairs were needed to the side of the bow. We left Punta Arenas yacht club on high tide this afternoon having spent the day hard aground fortunately in soft mud.It was hot and humid and the aircon broke down as did the generator.Dave summed Punta Arenas in one word - its a dump!!
