Over halfway but have managed to get ourselves in the SE’ly going arm of the Gulf stream. What everyone on the Newport to Bermuda race tries to find but what we wanted to avoid !! S.O.G. down to as low as 1.8 kts. with 4.5 kts. of boatspeed !! Ouch. Lots of heavy rain and thunderstorms. Boat very wet down below. Not a nice trip. Bring back the trades !
