Well, the plan had been to leave last weekend and head to Guadeloupe. However I got offered a place on a 42 foot racing yacht for Antigua Race Week. So 2 practice days, the Round Antigua Race and 5 days of racing with 9 races in all. Headsail and spinnaker grinding. I am covered in bruises and aching all over but it was fun. Probably my last time as crew as I am just not fit enough ! 7th out of 10 so not a great result.
We are moving the boat around to English Harbour tomorrow to fuel and water up then we head south to Guadeloupe on Monday. 2 or 3 days in Deshaies then down to Pigeon Island and onto Isle de Saintes and possibly Marie Galante. Then Martinique and we want to be in the Grenadines by early June. Getting lifted in either Grenada or Trinidad and staying down there for the summer. Will try and remember to keep our positions updated !
More soon.
