Another record breaking day for us, but still room for improvement.
We have had the most brilliant sailing over the last 24 hours. (Non sailors can skip the next bit). With genoa poled out and main on t'other side with preventer fitted we are goose winging down 3 - 4 meter high surf at amazing speeds! Our top speed last night was 14.6 Knots with a wind speed of nearly 40 knots. Good old Enterprise coped with it all brilliantly. She's as steady as a rock and no slouch in the speed department!
We have made what we hope is our last major course correction and are now heading just south of west to our waypoint off Martinique, just over 2000 miles away. Russ and I are now probably further away from any other human beings than we have ever been. Certainly there is no evidence of other shipping within our 500 square mile patch of sea. Of course someone could be hiding which would be disappointing :)
Today's meal will be egg and potato...... curried.
