Ground Hog Day

W Not
much to report. Still poled out.
Still WSW 6. Still the occasional
squall. Still rocking and rolling. I’m getting my head down before my next watch
at We have just
crossed the International date line and will repeat the last 23 hours.... We’re sailing with a full main and a small reef in the Yankee which is still poled
out. Boat speed has dropped to 7
knots-ish. It’s milder in the
cockpit than its been. 16C. So I’ve shed a
layer. O5:00 Just dropped the pole. Or rather left the pole in position and
moved the Yankee to its normal sailing position. The wind is now South Force 4. I doubt we’ll need the pole again for a
while, but won’t strike it until daylight and two people on deck. Anyway it’s
much calmer for sleeping. Not much
wind the hours either side of dawn. At The
changeover to the new/old date and
time will happen at The wind has gone SE now so we won’t be needing the pole
again for some time. The computer seems confused by the time change. All out
GRIB wind files are a day out., even though I’ve restarted the PC.
Major
disaster. I bought a new Nespresso
Coffee machine in Yesterday’s run was 177 miles including 15 minutes engine
time and half an hour messing around with
fish. I enclose some evidence of the two that didn’t
get\away. __________ Information from ESET NOD32 Antivirus, version of virus signature database 4098 (20090522) __________ The message was checked by ESET NOD32 Antivirus. http://www.eset.com |
