Tuesday More good news. The alternator fan belt
which was changed before leaving Bit of a squally night ahead so we have dumped the spinnaker but the bimini back up and are now sailing wing on wing. Its really good to have four crew. Nik helms extremely well and is very good at sail trim. Steve is currently giving him a cooking lesson. I believe it will be spag bog…. Good thing we dropped the Spinnaker last night. The wind came up a notch to a healthy Force 6 .and we have been whizzing along at 9-10 plus knots. Not so warm as it was so jumpers are back in fashion. There may be some showers later. Sotiris is taking so many pictures he doesn’t have room on his computer to store them all. So he’s been throwing files out and at the moment is defragging to try and make some space. Nik is dozing in the cockpit. Steve is reading Gibralter The Great Seige, a present from Andrew (The Opera Singer). And I’m reading “The Kite Runner.”Sotiris is also reading a book. I ask him about it but all I get out of him is that is some ancient Greek malachias. (sp???) |
