My old chum Paul has pointed out that our “Day 1 to Opua” position puts us somewhere in the middle of Namibia.  This was a typo on my part, instead of entering a longitude of  

165:45 East, I entered 16:45 East.  I can correct it  when I get a real connection again.

Dinner tonight was very fresh small tuna caught while I was napping and just the right size for three people. Wind is WSW Force 2 so the motor chugs on. We’ve just been treated to a nearly full orange moon rise.

Still motoring across this area of high pressure. The barometer is the highest it’s been and the skies are clear.  It’s definitely colder however as we head further South. With all this engine time there’s plenty of hot water and no need to worry about the genset’s broken flexible  mountings.

Sat Com still moody and the Iridium is also  dodgy.

Yesterdays run 199 miles all of it motor sailing.  We’re now 206 miles from the quarantine dock in Opua.  Cross Track error down to a mere 34 miles as we close on the waypoint.  The strong headwinds we were anticipating have yet to materialize so we may get in before they do.
