27/3/08 12:00 Noon

We were off at 8 again into a very beautiful morning.  Since we came back in the “canals” there has been absolutely no sea and little evidence of the rudder leak.  If we make it to the intended destination tonight we will have made up quite a bit of the time lost by not doing the overnight passage the other day.  There are strong currents here and we might be slowed too much to make it before dark, but at the moment it looks promising.

19:30

We moored a few minutes ago in Caleta Brooks on Isla Cuptana after a long day of 94 miles.  A whole day without rain.  Wonderful. We are backed up to a little waterfall or indeed a Babbling Brook. Don’t know what that will do to our dreams tonight.

Anyway we are now only 24 hours behind where we would have been had we done the  overnighter and only 375 miles from Valdivia so we are on course  for  2 April arrival.

Tonight's pictures are mostly of today’s morning and one of the many salmon fish farms in the area.
