Hello All,
Well we are here!
Sadie is safe and well in the Marina at Gran
Tarajal amongst other Ocean-going yachts, compared with Mersea, you'd stick out
if you didnt have a wind vane here!
A few statistics for you:
2,006 - The number of nautical miles travelled
405:25 - The number hours and minutes spent at sea (16 days, 21 hours and
15 minutes)
5.13 - our average speed (knots)
12.2 - the highest speed in knots seen on the GPS while surfing down a wave
in the Bay of Biscay
1024 - the highest pressure recorded
1003 - the lowest pressure recorded
143nm - the greatest distance travelled over a 24 hour period
14nm - the greatest distance travelled over a 2 hour period
The last few days have allowed us time to clean up
the boat, get some jobs sorted or prepared for on a return journey and organise
our rather short and uneventful plane journey home.
We hope to get on the beach this afternoon when the
jobs are all done :-)
As we understand it, the weather is just as good in
the UK so we will be quite acclimitised by the time we return.
Thank you for all the supportive messages and sport
updates, they have given us much amusement, encouragement and kept us upto date
with the outside world.
We hope that you will continue to follow the
progress for the next leg of the journey in November to the Carribean.
Until then,
~Sadie - Out~
