Distance to
Antigua      2000 miles (exactly)
Distance
Run today       93 miles
Sailing update  Late blog today as we had company to chat to.  As we started to
scribble up today's events the AIS responder alarm kicked off and we have a
Swedish ARC yacht called Aliena  4 miles on the starboard beam.
They are a 31 foot Forgus with 3 crew.
Rather than bore you with details of our last 2 days we will quote Forgus
who were very laid back and Swedish and simply said "it's been an interesting
and exciting 2 days ! ".
Chris, can you drop the updates on the big boys and let us know about
him.
We agree with them that we have to put up with light winds from the
west tomorrow and go south to avoid the low pressure systems to the north -
Trades due Tuesday !
Domestic
A day of heroics from Tim who has been back up the mast after snagged
halliards.  Sorting the boat for Ricky and Jez after 2 days of carnage and
getting everything damp.
Sleep for everyone in turn to recharge internal batteries.
Jez received the following instruction late last night from
Emma.  "not sure what the time is with you, will allow a couple of extra
hours if sea still rough, but get rid of that thing under your nose !"

It's all for charity darling ( and please put a quid in a Movember box
for me if you can ! ) but I have hated it and am happy to announce that the
"Mo" went at 10  this morning after shaving in a bucket of seawater using
fairy liquid.
Natural History.
Debate amongst the twitchers over our frigate bird.  Universal
agreement that it's not an albatros.  So Stu, we have Dave saying Frigate
bird has a distinct V shaped tail and we will see them nearer the
Caribbean.  He is proposing Cory's Shearwater for our albatross and Manx
Shearwater fot the smaller types.  We have seen more of both these
today.
And a dolphin  (We are advised that the last lot were
porpoises).  More like flipper and on its own.
And a flying fish - which was only 4" long and was dead in the
cockpit.  Not big enough for breafast so we had sausages instead.
Todays responses:
Harvey - A Shot !  Good lad. Keep trying and you will get the
goal.
Granny Jen and Claire - You are doing a great job on footie updates
despite the Arsenal slant that you bth favour.
Rowles Kids - early night please, school tomorrow !
Shaun / Steve Des - Mo gone - please shake tin.  Photo follows
from Antigua
Chris - sorry, blogs at 18.00 hrs or later going fwd.
