Buenos Dias Omigo's

Three weeks ago today we were jumping up and down trying to wriggle Sadie out of the mud at Maldon to get on our way, today we are reaching down the East coast of Lanzarote at 6.5 knots en route to Playa Blanca where we will meet up with Angus's family and spend a night in the marina there. Certainly no mud around here.

We have enjoyed the last two days at anchor, mostly in the water, getting our fix after being on the water for so long, we jumped (literally) at the opportunity to get in it! We have had conspiracy plots of what we thought another yachtmen at anchor was upto and where his other half we believed to be on board had disappeared to, after we came to the conclusion that he was a solo sailor, who we had all mistaken for a woman, from then on we gave him the appropriate nick name, 'Billy'.

We have definately honed our skills at Scrabble and Rummy as the weeks have gone on, with Angus's competitive side being oozed out of his calm and collective complextion.

At last we treated ourselves to some pizza, after carrying the peperoni some 1900 miles with us it still tasted delightful, so much so, we forgot to take any photos for the every growing 'food album' but not to worry, there is likely to be more in the near future, our latest curry was the hottest yet and was enjoyed with a stuffed parata and ice cold beers, but everyone was eager as ever and there is still plenty in the pot for a second round.

Who knows what tonight's entertainment holds in store!

All the best for now,

~Sadie~
