Title: Diverting to Falmouth

49:36.9560N 07:57.1000W
We had a windy night and whilst reefing to the third reef managed to rip the mainsail and are now continuing under working jib only (with that alone we were doing 7 knots) the wind has eased somewhat but there is a swell from the north which will make Scilly difficult to enter and uncomfortable once we get there. The swell will make St Mary's lumpy so would need to anchor in Porth Cressa or similar. Also our timing means we will be getting there close to nightfall. The favoured option is to keep going to Falmouth and head for the marina where a hot shower awaits and we can sort things out.
