Reasonable night's sleep although the mooring was a tad rolly which probably explains why we departed at 8.15. Very little wind in the lee of the island and far too early for a sea breeze so we had to motor the 12 miles to Deshaies.

Deshaies was a pleasant bay and had a similar feel to Grande Anse on Martinique and was not as French as les Saintes. The there amigos rowed ashore and had an excellent lunch of barbecued snapper and chicken washed down with a few beers.

We then had a very lazy afternoon snoozing, swimming and reading and Dave and Lewis then rowed back to shore for supplies. Hot supper of tuna chili con carne washed down with red wine by which time we were far too chilled to row back to shore so after a nostalgic trip through my iPod went to bed nice and early.
