Wednesday, June 16th: Gulf Stream

Last night as we left the Chesapeake and entered open waters, we chowed down on Nani's delicious Chicken De'van, as Dad and Poppi provided the story of the family dish. After dinner, Jim made brownies and the sea was so calm that we decided to motor through the night, a stark contrast of the previous night.

This morning, still under motor power, we entered the gulf stream, as was evident from the copious sea-grass and change in the ocean's color. Shawn and Issy spotted a dolphin on the bow of Arbella and were able to capture a video of it before it disappeared.
