As is always the case with "this crew", the day began at 0630 when Issy woke up Poppi so that we could grab "the Game Bag", get Nate, go to the cockpit…and…"let the games begin"!! Today it was "Sorry" first…and the cereal and coffee comes out along the way! As the rest of the crew arose, we began a series of preparations topside and below decks to get ready to "set sail". Generally "Arbella" shirts were the uniform of the day….but the Captain is pretty lax about this! BE SAFE AND HAVE FUN!! That is our mantra… So at 1030 we left Nanny Cay and headed for Cooper Island. Nani was already working with "Kitty" on her helmsman qualification….and Alex was "pondering" about celestial navigation….while Nate was making note of the correctness of the sail trim and advising Poppi and Dad as to what sail adjustments to make….unbelievable…they are all "naturals"!! And Alex learned to be careful what t-shirt you wear….he is now "re-nicknamed" to now be called "Hurley"!! And on we go, under full sail….main, jib, and staysail!
