33:51.9N 66:20.5W Conditions have improved, although the ride is still
'bumpy' with the seas 'confused' due to the weather changes. We received
our latest update from Commander's Weathers and were very pleased to see
that we are running ahead of the front, and therefore avoiding the more
challenging conditions. We are taking a 'dog leg' course and will actually
come into BVI's from the northeast. It looks like we will pass Bermuda on
our starboard side...but....because the boat and the crew are all doing
well, and the weather is improved, we will not stop for a dark and stormy!
We have 520 miles behind us and 980 miles ahead. If all holds to the plan
and forecast, we should be in Tortola on Thursday, Nov 9. Tonight, after
several days of quick 'meals in a bowl' due to the rough conditions, we are
planning to 'flatten the boat' for the dinner hour and Cap will prepare a
fine feast for us. We will eat topside in the cockpit...more or less a
'civil meal'. So onward we press....
